School Site

Our school site is open for children from the age of 3 in the ‘year’ prior to them starting school. Most children start as a cohort in the Autumn term. Depending on the numbers in each cohort children may be offered places at both of our sites or at just the one site. We aim to make admissions as ‘fair’ as possible to enable us to offer places to all of our children and families who are eligible to attend.

Children who are not intending to go onto Chudleigh Primary School may attend this site according to our admissions’ policy criteria”

Our School Site offers a room divided into play/learning areas as well as space for larger play. The outdoor play environment includes an environmental area, large sandpit, climbing wall and an under-cover area so that the environment can be used all year round. The School Site allows the children to access other areas of the school, which adds to the opportunities to learn and play.

  • Dedicated to children in the year before they start primary school.
  • Unique transition into school life and routines including eating lunch in the school dinner hall.
  • 157sqm secure outdoor play area with climbing wall, play equipment and a secret garden!
  • More structured sessions to develop children’s development following EYPS.

School Site Virtual Tour

Come on in and have a look at our room and outdoor areas within the Chudleigh Primary School site. Children here have the benefit of carrying on the tradition of the Pre-School environment, but within the grounds of the Primary School. As the year progresses, they get an increasingly immersive experience of ‘big school’; giving them added confidence to start their Foundation year.

Our school site helps to provide a lovely smooth transition into the Foundation classes at Chudleigh School. There are lots of great liaison activities with school for both children and parents.

At our school site, we continue to support the children’s learning through play whilst nurturing School Readiness skills.
The School site benefits from a lovely outdoor area, with a climbing wall…

…and further down, we find an under covered area to explore the natural environment with wood bark, a large sand pit and water play facilities…
…finally we arrive at the secret garden.
We have recently created new raised flower and vegetable beds in this delightful area so that children can learn about planting and growing. There is a mud kitchen and a small decking area to study wild life or turn the deck into a stage for our performances!…
